Our featured designer Skooch is extremely excited to announce that their Urban Cool Diaper Bag is a "Celebrated Winner of the iParenting Media Awards" for the 2008 Excellent Products Call. The Urban Cool Collection is a collection of 5 over the shoulder style diaper bags, which combines function with style.
The first 2 prints, Camouflage and Desert were launched in March and the 3 tattoo inspired prints are being introduced this month. So it’s extremely exciting to have our bag win this prestigious award so early into its introduction!
For those who are unfamiliar with the iParenting Media Awards, it is part of iParenting.com, which is a Disney Internet Group media property. They are the only consumer awards program that has achieved an ISO 9001:2000 certification. ISO is the world's largest developer of standardization regulations and is an internationally recognized standard of quality assurance.
A team of reviewers evaluated their Urban Cool diaper bags and 3 outside reviews were performed, as well as evaluated by the iParenting Media Awards Executive Committee. Results were compiled and submitted to the iParenting Media Executive Committee for final approval. The end result of this comprehensive process is the receipt of the iParenting Media Award for 2008.

• There are many positive characteristics of the "Urban Cool Diaper Bag from Skooch". I loved the fun pattern and I really like the style of the diaper bag. The bag was the perfect size and had more than enough pockets to separate all the baby care items that were needed in the diaper. My teenagers wanted to use it as a school book bag, that’s how cool they thought it was. I really liked the fact that it was not your typical diaper bag.
• What a fun and trendy yet highly functional diaper bag. The quality of the bag is great. The fabric is highly durable and attractive. The bag is well constructed and maintained its structure well during use versus the typical flattening that generally happens to diaper bags. I also appreciated all the pockets both inside and outside the bag. There were more pockets than I had items for. The adjustable, thick strap was even better because of the rubber grip it has that kept it from falling off my shoulder. I also appreciate the stroller straps to convert it to use with a stroller.
• Overall I think this bag is designed very intelligently. It has some very convenient features. The multiple pockets are great. The ones on the outside are perfect for a cell phone, keys, water bottle, etc. It’s great to not have to fish through a bag looking for these things while carrying an infant. The interior pockets are great, as well, for organization and separating items. The thick rubber strap is a wonderful feature – it makes it so much more comfortable and it doesn’t slip off my shoulder like most bags. I have to lean over frequently to pick up my baby or shift my shoulders to adjust them in my arms. The water resistant body is practical and worry-free, and the fewer things to worry about, the better! The ability to use this bag as a stroller bag is unique and a wonderful added bonus. I would purchase this bag just for this feature.
